Godo Kaisha (GK) or Kabushiki Kaisha (KK) cannot be incorporated for non-profit business.
General Incorporated Association (GIA, IPPAN SHADAN HOUJIN) can be incorporated for both non-profit and profit business.
GIA and other nonprofit organization can pay salary to directors and employees, but cannot distribute the proceeds to members.
